Kate Keisel-Caballero, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Kate Keisel is the co-founder and CEO of The Sanar Wellness Institute. In her current role, she oversees all Sanar's strategic, programmatic, and operational management while facilitating therapeutic yoga and other survivor services. Kate continues to expand comprehensive supportive interventions that foster a holistic and empowerment centered environment for survivors of gender-based violence and undeserved communities.
Prior to founding The Sanar Wellness Institute in 2015, Kate served as Director of Polaris New Jersey, a global anti-human trafficking organization. During her six years with the agency, she managed all aspects of the Newark based office including client services programmatic work, direct supervision of staff, provision of case management services and strengthening of regional anti-trafficking efforts. Additionally, Kate has worked with a women’s rights organization in central Mexico where she helped to provide comprehensive assistance to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Kate has worked and studied throughout Latin America, including Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. She holds an bachelors degree in International Studies and Human Rights and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in trauma across the life course. She is an avid yoga enthusiast and completed her 200 hour RYT certification for Yoga Alliance with Marianne Wells. Kate believes that every survivor should have the opportunity to heal in their own way, their own time, and have access to resources that support this healing path.
Jenna Pannepacker, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder
Jenna Pannepacker is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Sanar Wellness Institute. Jenna oversees all operations and partnership development throughout Newark and the surrounding communities in addition to cultivating ongoing international partnerships. Jenna also participates in the music programming as part of the creative arts initiatives for survivors.
Prior to founding Sanar, Jenna worked as School Director with Education First, a world leader in international education based out of Miami Beach, Florida. During her time at Education First, Jenna directed all operations of the school and worked closely to help thousands of international students fully integrate in language learning and cultural immersion. In addition, Jenna has worked in Argentina and Peru developing partnerships and coordinating volunteer programs for marginalized communities to help impoverished children and families thrive. She also speaks Spanish and French fluently.
Gabriela Celeiro, Chief Clinicain and Co-Founder
Gabriela Celeiro is the co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer at The Sanar Wellness Institute. In her current role she oversees all programmatic development and management while providing group and individual therapeutic sessions. Prior to founding Sanar, Gabriela worked locally in the Newark, NJ community as a bilingual counselor for LGBTQIAA youth with The Hetrick Martin Institute and with survivors of human trafficking with Polaris, NJ. She incorporated mindfulness techniques to help at-risk youth learn anger management skills and incorporated successful expressive arts therapy programs with other allied community organizations.
Gabriela takes a holistic approach to her therapeutic work incorporating creative relaxation techniques to assist clients with processing the impacts of complex trauma. She has worked in the social service field since 2004 in New York City and New Jersey. She has extensive experience working with LGBTQIAA urban youth, immigrant populations, chronically homeless and mentally ill adults. Mrs. Celeiro received her Bachelors of Fine Arts, her Masters in Clinical Social Work, and is a Licensed Social Worker. She has also studied and received training in EMDR, expressive arts therapy techniques and aroma therapy. Gabriela is also an animal lover, an aromatherapy and meditation aficionado, and a supporter of the arts.
